The 2025 Annual International Solid Freeform Fabrication Symposium – An Additive Manufacturing Conference is organized by the Mechanical Engineering Department/Lab for Freeform Fabrication under the aegis of the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Center at the University of Texas at Austin. The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) is handling registration and programming support services for this symposium.

NSF STUDENT AWARDS
The meeting organizers are thankful to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for their award to fund a student registration support competition. If the student application is selected the funding will cover the full student registration fee for selected students (foreign and domestic) studying at a US institution of higher learning. Postdoctoral scholars are not eligible.
Application Instructions:

Complete the required form here: Application Form (*Note - late applications are available until the end of June 11, 2024). Read the instructions carefully, failure to follow them means your application will not be considered for funding.

Application deadline is June 10, 2024.

You should be informed of acceptance by no later than July 1, 2024.
Before applying, please note that to qualify for the award you MUST (no exceptions, so please don’t ask):

Be a current student at a US institution of higher learning

Be an author or co-author on an oral or poster presentation. If you did not submit an abstract yet, you may submit one poster abstract with your award application.

If you are selected for an award, we will also accept your abstract for inclusion in the meeting as a poster.

You are expected to attend the entire conference (Monday – Wednesday), August 11th-14th

There will be a place for you to sign in and sign-out at the registration desk.

Priority for selection will be given to applicants who are lead authors and/or who actually present the oral or poster presentation. The presentation of NSF-sponsored research is also positive.
